Jackie Hartenberger
Saint Louis native, Jackie Hartenberger, pursued her academic training at the University
of North Texas, receiving her bachelor's degree in Music Education. While at UNT she
studied French Horn with Professor William Scharnberg (Principal Horn of the Dallas
Opera) and performed and recorded with the prestigious UNT Wind Symphony. Jackie
also studied conducting with Eugene Corporon and Dennis Fisher while at North Texas.
Jackie was Associate Director of Bands at Centennial High School in Frisco (Frisco ISD)
from 2006-2009. She also served as Associate Director of Bands at Forestwood Middle
School in Flower Mound (Lewisville ISD) from 2004-2006. She is an active clinician and
has presented many clinics nation wide including the Missouri State Music Educator's
Annual conference, Independent School District In-services, and for the Music
Educator's National Conference for the Southwest Division. Her topics consists of
teaching techniques for beginning band, innovative techniques for better brass players,
and ensemble concepts for the developing performer. Her professional affiliations are
Texas Music Educators, Texas Bandmasters Association, and MENC.
