The University of Texas Chamber Winds, directed by Scott Hanna, is a select group of musicians within the School of Music dedicated to the performance of chamber works for wind instruments. The ensemble presents five on-campus performances each academic year, and has appeared at both the 2002 and 2004 Southwestern Division Conferences of CBDNA. While the core instrumentation of the group is the traditional wind octet or harmoniemusik (pairs of oboes, clarinets, bassoons, and horns), the Chamber Winds maintains a flexible instrumentation to accommodate a diverse and exciting repertoire.
